CTOS Score

CTOS Score

A three-digit number from 300 to 850 calculated by CTOS that summarises how risky you look to a lender. A higher score signals lower risk. It is one input into a lending decision, not a pass-or-fail verdict.

The CTOS Score is built from factors such as your repayment history, how much of your available credit you are using, the age and mix of your accounts, recent applications, and any legal or bankruptcy records. As a rough guide, scores in the mid-600s and below are seen as higher risk and scores in the mid-700s and above as strong, though every lender sets its own cut-offs.

Your score is not fixed — it moves as your behaviour changes. Paying on time, keeping balances low relative to your limits, and avoiding a flurry of new applications all help it recover over months. No one can legitimately promise to 'fix' your score overnight; the honest route is consistent, on-time conduct, which the score will reflect over time.
